Stuart Aiers studied Horticulture and Agriculture at Cannington College, Somerset. He is a qualified green keeper, having worked on golf courses and bowling greens. After a stint in the Army, and later driving HGV's, he returned to his passion in horticulture, working for a well known local landscaping company. In 2016 he started Countryside Gardens and Landscapes, quickly building a good reputation with customers for his reliable and friendly service. In 2018 he and Ian Pegg merged businesses to create Devon Countryside Landscapes.
Before merging with Stuart to create Devon Countryside Landscapes Ian had his own business, Tor Gardens and Landscapes. He has worked in the field for over ten years including as the manager of a 70 acre estate and as a countryside range maintaining over 20 nature reserves of various stature. He has a special interest in wildlife gardening and conservation.
Kara works behind the scenes as our admin team. Kara joined the team after spending 19 years working with the elderly, complex care and then with children with learning disabilities. You may see Kara working out in the field now and again giving a helping hand.
Carl left school and had a passion for baking gaining the title of Master baker, after 11 years Carl wanted a career change and started working within the building trade gaining experience in different merchants, whilst working part time with the Territorial Army. Carl gained most of his experience helping to rebuild his house and garden taking a passion into laying paving, then helping others with their gardens. After many years driving HGV lorries Carl wanted a career change and started working as part of our landscaping team.
Aaron left school and went straight into working as a civil engineer doing grounds work then working with a company making and building play parks for schools and homes before taking a career change and serving in the royal services on tour and gaining his HGV and other licenses. After wanting another career change he decided to go back into what he enjoys most, the outdoors and wood work.
